Step 2: Cut out the carbs

Piling your plate full of pasta is unhealthy, unless you are exercising enough to work it off. If you can cut down on carbs, you will notice a genuine difference in your physique and your energy levels. Carbs always curb your food cravings, but they also make you tired and lazy. Try eating more meat and vegetables for a healthier diet. Drink loads of water too as this will stop you getting so many cravings.

Step 3: Start walking everywhere

If you are a driver, it is all too easy to hop into your car and nip to the stores. You need to get out of that habit. If you need to go out for some reason, you should walk. Walking to the stores or to work will make a huge difference to how you feel. When you begin to get active, you will find you naturally have more energy than you used to.

Step 4: Forget the gym, join a team

I guess you already tried the gym, right? Most people sign up to the gym, but never go. Joining a sports team is a better option as your teammates will spur you on to work hard every week. Don’t worry if you’re not skilled at a certain sport. There are loads of amateur teams that you can join that will accept any experience level.

Step 5: Take up a new hobby

Who said exercise had to be dull? There is a common misconception that exercising is a chore. It shouldn’t be. Getting out there and getting active should be an enjoyable thing to do. If you don’t enjoy one sport, try another. There are loads of different ways to get fit. You might want to try paddle boarding, for example. There are loads of apps you can download that will help to track your sports and health progress. You should make sure that you weigh yourself frequently as well. When you can see that your new lifestyle is helping you to lose weight, you will want to carry on and lose even more weight.
