Men: How to Get Rid of Your Potbelly, FAST

I often see men in the gym with a big potbelly poking out beneath their tight dri-fit t-shirt. They come for months, and yet the belly never goes away. Why is this? I can only assume that they have been eating and drinking the wrong things. In fact, many men have a belly either from drinking too much alcohol, or from eating foods that make them bloated. This guide will help you to get rid of your pot belly, and FAST:

Stop Eating Rubbish

The biggest thing you need to do to make that belly go down is to stop consuming the things that bloat you. This could be cheese, bread, milk, or something else. Different people are sensitive to different things. Stop eating so many takeaways, chocolate bars, and frozen meals. If you do this, I guarantee your belly will go down within a week. Avoid Alcohol in Excess

Alcohol is the cause of potbellies the world over. Limit your alcohol intake to a few times per week, and don’t binge. If you can, avoid calorific lagers and ciders for spirits and low cal mixers.

Do the Right Type of Exercise

Now, here’s the big news; you can’t spot reduce areas on your body. You need to exercise your whole body for overall health, before you’ll see an improvement in your stomach. You can’t expect to do hundreds of situps for your belly to go away, because that’s just not how it works. You also shouldn’t concentrate solely on lifting heavy weights, as you need to lose some fat first. I recommend starting out with cardio and plyometric/body weight exercises, before slowly introducing weights. The more intense your workouts, the quicker your belly will go away.

Drink Plenty of Water

Water flushes out toxins and has many other great benefits on the body. If you aren’t drinking enough of it, your body will hold on to the moisture it does get, making it harder for you to lose weight and beat the bloat. Drink at least 2 litres a day.

Eat the Right Food

I told you you mustn’t eat the wrong food, so that means you need to eat the right food. The food you eat needs to fuel your body and your workouts efficiently. Get Plenty of Sleep

That’s right; sleep can actually affect the amount of weight we lose. If we don’t get enough of it, we automatically want to eat more junk because of hormones present in the body. We also slow down the fat burning process, so you need to get at least 7 hours a night.
