Like it or not, we all live in a world where style and panache are important to people. There’s no denying the fact that first impressions count. If you make a bad first impression, you will be memorable for all the wrong reasons!
Are you someone that likes to deviate from the norm when it comes to fashion and styling trends? If so, you’ve probably noticed that moving away from the mainstream is affecting the outcome of things you want out of life. For instance, jobs, dates and so forth. If your friends think you have no style, it’s time to do something about it.
Today’s handy blog post will give you some examples of how you can make yourself more appealing in a variety of situations. Don’t worry; you can thank me later! Here is what you need to know:
Sort your head out
More to the point, do something with your facial hair and the hair on your head! When you come across anyone, the first thing you will do is look at their face. Likewise, people will do the same thing with you too.
The first thing you should do is make an appointment to see your local hair stylist. Let’s face it; we all have different body shapes and builds. Our faces and heads are also no exception to that rule. You need to find a hairstyle that fits in well with the shape of your head and face.
Hair stylists are experts in improving people’s images. They can help you determine which style works best for your hair. And if they are also barbers too, they can advise you whether facial hair is a good look for you or not.
Once you’ve decided on a new hairstyle and type of beard, it’s crucial you keep your head and facial features looking good at all times. You’ll probably have to visit your hair stylist at least once a month. If you’re growing a beard, you’ll also need to learn how to maintain it at home.
Of course, you could just go to the barber once or twice a week and have them maintain it for you, but it can be a costly exercise.
Buy some nice clothes
Next, you’ll need to upgrade the clothing in your wardrobe. You should always look your best, even if you’re just wearing casual clothes. There are a plethora of fashion styles out there, but the trick is to choose one that’s trendy and works well for you.
Sometimes it pays to hire a shopping assistant or fashion adviser. That way, they can help you select clothes that compliment your body shape and physique. They’ll also help you choose colors that work well with your skin tone.
If you work in an office environment, it’s likely you’ll have to wear some formal attire. You don’t need to spend thousands on a fashionable suit, but you shouldn’t “cheap out” either. Buy clothes that are within your budget, yet make you look professional at all times.
Get some sweet-smelling aftershave
No-one likes to be near a person that smells of body odors! Instead, we would rather be near a person that smells nice. One way to make that happen is to get your hands on some good aftershave or “eau de toilette” products.
I’m not going to suggest a particular fragrance because that’s down to personal taste. Instead, I recommend you try a few tester samples and determine which one you think is the best. If you’re not sure and need a bit of help, you could always get a friend to give you some guidance!
Just make sure that the aftershave you buy isn’t one that you would get if you were of a certain “mature” age. Check out the latest ones aimed at younger professionals and those with a penchant for style.
Upgrade your wheels
Last, but not least, you’ll need to increase your street cred! If you’re a professional or an executive, for example, you could upgrade to a Chrysler 300. Maybe you’re a sports car fan? If so, a BMW 4 Series coupe might be up your street!
Whatever car you choose, make sure it’s one that looks great and turns head – for the right reasons, of course!
If you can’t afford a brand new car, you could always opt for one that’s two or three years old. You’d be surprised by what models are cheaper to buy than you think!
I hope today’s guide will help you to add some more style in your life. Good luck!
