With seven different SUV’s and crossovers to choose from, Toyota makes it hard for a potential SUV buyer to look anywhere else. My favorite offering from Toyota is the Highlander. With an impressive 20/25 MPG’s, the Highlander makes commuting, errands, and outdoor quests simple and economical. With new interior styling in 2014, from a new designed front grille to chromatic wheels to aerodynamic roof rails, the Highlander is as high on style as it is on practicality.
Mazda offers three different SUV’s in 2014: The Mazda 5, the Mazda CX 5, and the Mazda CX 9. The CX 5 is quite sporty and offers many extras that could be considered upgrades. As Mazda says, “carefully engineered to eliminate compromise” this SUV offers all-weather capability and the best MPG (26/35) for an SUV in America, including hybrids.
Honda’s Pilot is a great SUV for 2014! With dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, Honda has safety in mind at every turn. With 18/25 MPG’s, the Pilot can be dressed up with paint and interior options sure to please you. The 4WD Touring addition is the most encompassing option which includes all the bells and whistles including variable torque management and folding power side mirrors with memory and integrated turn indicators.
Ford offers six SUV’s and crossovers for 2014. My favorite remains the Ford Explorer which is fun to drive, powerful, and offers 17/24 MPG’s. With loads of technology and great color combinations for interior and exterior, you’ll have as much fun “building” your Explorer as you will driving it.
One thing that is sure about the great 2014 SUV’s available; technology is at the forefront of each and every one of them. Take a spin in a 2014 SUV today and you’ll have a hard time choosing your favorite!
