A Guide to Decorating Your Bachelor’s Bedroom

Decorating probably isn’t your idea of a good time. But if you want to get your bachelor pad just right, you’re going to have to face your fears and pick up your paint brush. Find the Right Color

The first place to start when decorating your bedroom is with the color. You can’t plan the rest of the room until you have a solid color scheme in place. With bachelor pads, it’s best to keep the colors relatively simple and neutral.

You could decide upon one color for three of the walls and then make the other wall a feature wall painted a different color. This stops the room becoming too boring and plain and gives it a bit of life.

Buy Your Ideal Bed

The clue is in the name; the most important thing about your bedroom is your bed. It should become the focal point of the entire room, so you need to get it right. You could even get one custom made if you want something unique.

But don’t sacrifice comfort for style. Yes, your bed should look good, but what good is a nice looking bed if it’s not comfortable? Finish it off with a new memory foam mattress and some great pillows.

A bachelor’s bedroom wouldn’t be complete with the right entertainment in place. That means adding your games console and a wall-mounted television. Then there are all you other gadgets to think about.

You could add personal pictures of friends and family. Or you could add some artworks to the wall. You can buy canvas pictures and paintings pretty cheaply nowadays, and they look great. Try not to crowd the walls too much though.
