As the summertime is fast approaching, and the weather is getting a little bit better, many people feel now is the perfect time to get outside and do some exercise. We all want to live for the longest time possible, but that’s only going to happen if we look after ourselves properly. This is why I’ve chosen to release an article today highlighting six different ways you can improve your health this year. Unless you’ve got some kind of disability, all of them should be suitable for you, regardless of where you live and how much time you have on your hands. So, give me your full attention, and we’ll begin.
1. Try Cycling
Though you might not realise it, cycling is one of the best ways to give your entire body a good workout, especially if you avoid the concrete streets and head out towards woodland tracks. Not only will your muscles feel the benefit, but your heart will become stronger and so circulation will be improved considerably.
2. Start Swimming
This is yet another means of exercise that works on every inch of your body, and because it’s also rather fun to engage in, you should definitely get down to your local pool sometime over the next few weeks. If you have kids, brilliant! Bring them along and inspire the whole family to get in shape.
3. Stop Smoking
After years of seeing those disgusting adverts on television that show fatty deposits filling up arteries, you shouldn’t need me to tell you that smoking is a bad idea. Most people think tobacco only harms their lungs, but this simply isn’t true. It can cause heart attacks, cancer, and even make your hair fall out prematurely. So, at least move onto the electric models from reputable brands like 10 Motives.
4. Eat Healthy Food
I love a Chinese or Indian takeaway as much as the next man, but you don’t get muscles and toning like this from fast food. If you want to look as fresh and healthy as me, you’ll need to pick up lots of fruit and vegetables from your local organic food store.
5. Join A Football Team
You don’t need to be a huge fan of the game to get involved with your local 5-a-side league, and so joining the squad could be a wise move. This will give you lots of much needed exercise every Sunday morning, and you might even have to attend practise sessions during the week. If you want to get fit without paying astonishing amounts for a gym membership, this is most definitely the way to go.
6. Walk To Work
This one is obviously unsuitable for anyone who lives more than around 5 miles away from their workplace, as they’d need to leave the house more than 3 hours before their shift. Even so, there are many people who live within only a short distance of their work, and so opting to leave the car at home and walk could solve all their problems. Walking in the morning is always nice, and you’re guaranteed to work up a sweat.
Well guys, now you know how to improve your health and live longer, I don’t want any more excuses for sitting there all day with that beer belly. Get rid of it you lazy sod!
Catch you next time!
