There are certain cars that every man should own at least once in his lifetime, and we’re going to spend a few moments discussing what we believe to be the top four this morning. While power and speed are important elements, some have made it onto our list simply because they look fantastic. So, grab yourself a cup of coffee, get comfortable and give us your full attention for five minutes this morning as we talk you through some of the models that you definitely shouldn’t overlook. Contrary to popular belief, the best boys toys aren’t always the most expensive, and you can get some really good second hand ones if you know where to look. So, don’t get to thinking that taking our advice will break the bank. With a little research and some common sense, you should be in a position to get any of the models listed for a reasonable price this summer.
1. BMW M3
The BMW M3 broke the mould when it first made it onto the international market over ten years ago, and it’s still one of the most desirable and stylish editions in their entire range. This is illustrated by the amount of them still on the road today. There are so many reputable dealers around that you can be certain of getting a good deal. Whether you purchase from a local store or you get in touch with an industry giant like Big Motoring World on Facebook, all you need is a good head for negotiation.
2. Audi TT
When we told a few of our friends we’d be including the Audi TT on this list, their jaws dropped a little. One said “but isn’t that a hairdresser’s car?”. To be fair, this model has been hijacked somewhat by people who work in that profession, but it’s actually one of the coolest boys toys of the last decade. It’s fast, low, reliable and incredibly cool. So, you’d do well to purchase one at some point and find out what all the fuss is about.
3. Bentley Arnage
Those of you who are old enough to remember the band “Oasis” from the 1990’s will probably recall the fact that songwriter Noel Gallagher always wanted a chocolate coloured Rolls Royce. Well, while they do look fantastic, we all know that Bentley cars are much more luxurious, which is why you should consider purchasing one. There’s obviously no need to spend hundreds of thousands on a perfectly restored limited edition model, but if you are willing to part with a little more cash than you otherwise would, you could get something truly stunning.
4. Dodge Challenger
A lot of people think the only way of getting hold of a Dodge would be to have one imported from the US. However, this isn’t the case any longer. So many drivers have imported them over the years that you will see them available on the second hand market pretty frequently, and the prices won’t be too bad either. Obviously, you’ll have to give some careful consideration to fuel consumption, as American cars can be real petrol guzzlers, but so long as you’re aware of this, and you factor it into your budget, it’s no problem.
So guys, now you’ve read about some of the top cars every man should buy at some point during his life, it will be interesting to see which model you opt for first. Don’t hesitate to let us know!
